The Russian steel producer Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has announced that it has successfully completed a compliance audit held by the certification body TÜV CERT reviewing the company's conformity with the European Union Directive 89/106/EEC and the company's right to use CE marking on its steel products produced for the civil construction industry.
The audit confirmed NLMK's compliance with the mandatory requirements of the directive and the company's right to use CE marking on its products.
Since CE marking allows a company to present its products in the EU market and the directive helps the EU to trace the quality and safety of the products coming into the market, NLMK's compliance with this standard will allow the company to increase its presence in the EU market.
