Nissan starts operations of Indian subsidiary

Japanese automaker Nissan officially started operations of its wholly owned subsidiary Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) in Mumbai, India. NMIPL will manage the importation of Nissan vehicles and spare parts, as well as sales, marketing, distribution and after sales service of Nissan products in India. Managing director of NMIPL Yoshie Motohiro indicates that Indian market will be one of the key contributors to Nissan's growth in the future. Nissan, which entered Indian market in 2004, accomplished a steady growth in its vehicle sales.
