New Steel International proposes new steel plant in Southern Ohio

According to local media reports on Friday, Franklin, Ohio-based engineering and construction management firm New Steel International, Inc. has proposed to build a steel plant in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. New Steel is considering building a steel plant capable of producing 200-ton forgings for nuclear power plants. The new steel plant also has the potential to bring 250 to 1,000 jobs to region. Meetings are set to take place next week in Lawrence County, Ohio in order to finalize a deal on the local level to begin talks with state officials.
