Oklahoma-based steel fabricator Claw Fabrication LLC Tuesday announced plans to build a 150,000-square foot wind turbine production facility at the Port of Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Construction of the $28 million plant is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2010, with operations beginning in spring 2011 and reaching full capacity later that year

According to a company press release, the new Eagle Claw facility "will be located in the primary wind area of the United States-often referred to as the ‘Saudi Arabia of Wind' corridor."  Additionally, the release states that the site "will provide substantial transportation cost savings due to proximity of the International Port of Muskogee, rail, and interstate roads heading to wind farm sites."
