New rebar mill starts operations at Kazakh-based Evraz Caspian Steel

Austria-based plantmaker Siemens Metals Technologies has announced that a new long rolling mill has been put into operation at the Kazakhstan-based steel producer Evraz Caspian Steel LLC.
 
The rolling mill supplied by Siemens is part of a new production location for the Evraz Group in the town of Kostanay, Kazakhstan, and it is designed to produce 450,000 mt of rebar per year for the construction industry in Kazakhstan and adjoining Central Asian countries. The diameters of the end products can range from 10 mm to 40 mm.
