New orders in German construction down 0.8 percent in April from March

In April this year, the total price-adjusted value of new orders in the overall German construction industry decreased by 0.8 percent month on month and remained stable compared to April 2015, as announced by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
 
In April of the current year, the total turnover in the overall German construction industry rose by 10.8 percent year on year and increased by 14.6 percent month on month.
 
Meanwhile, in the first four months of this year the total price-adjusted value of new orders in the overall German construction industry remained unchanged on year-on-year basis. In the period in question, the total turnover in the overall German construction industry grew by 6.8 percent year on year.
