According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 15.4 percent year on year to 97,938 units and were up by 21.8 percent on month-on-month basis.
New passenger car registrations in October this year totaled 59,475 units, increasing by 29.5 percent as compared to September and up 30.9 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 60.7 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in October increased by 8.2 percent month on month and were up 5.3 percent year on year, amounting to 15,174 units. Small truck registrations constituted 15.5 percent of total new registrations in October this year.
