New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey up 1.1% in October from September

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased by 4.1 percent year on year to 84,903 units and were up by 1.1 percent on month-on-month basis.
 
New passenger car registrations in October this year totaled 45,437 units, falling by 1.9 percent as compared to September and down 11.7 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 53.5 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.
 
On the other hand, new small truck registrations in October increased by 5.47 percent month on month and were up 17.84 percent year on year, amounting to 14,413 units. Small truck registrations constituted 17 percent of total new registrations in October this year.
