New Mexican steel standardization procedure announced

The Secretariat of Economy (SE) of Mexico published this week the declaration of validity of a Mexican standardization system related the steel industry and mechanical test methods for steel products.

The Official Gazette (DOF) explains that the rule establishes procedures for mechanical testing of products relating to steel and iron; NMX-B-172-CANACERO-2013, which will replace the previous standard, will take effect in 60 calendar days from April 15, 2014.
