New Iranian mill Kavir Steel starts production

A new Iranian steel mill, Kavir Steel, has commenced production operations in the city of Aran-o-Bidgol, which is situated in the northwestern part of Esfahan province. 

Kavir Steel, located on a site of 1,200,000 sq. m. including a covered area of 50,000 sq. m., has a designed annual capacity of 500,000 mt of rebar, plain bar, angles, U-beam and wire rod.

The investment in the mill, totaling €30 million and Rial 300 billion ($32.4 million), was financed by the Iranian private sector and with the help of bank loans.
