Net profit of China’s large and medium-size mills down 35 percent in July from June

According to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in July this year the aggregate net profit of the 77 large and medium-size Chinese steel producers which are members of the CISA totaled RMB 8.588 billion ($1.34188 billion), down RMB 4.717 billion ($737.03 million) or 35.45 percent compared with RMB 13.305 billion ($2.079 billion) in June.
 
In the January-July period of the current year, the aggregate net profit of the 77 mills in question totaled RMB 65.208 billion ($10.189 billion), reflecting an increase of 20.6 percent year on year.
