China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has stated that China's consumer price index (CPI) in June is expected to hit a peak for the past 35 months.

Meanwhile, the initial purchasing managers index (PMI) of Shanghai-based HSBC Bank (China) for June slipped to its lowest point of the past 11 months.

The above are an indication of the difficult China has in controling inflation and maintaining growth at the same time.
