The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for China’s manufacturing sector was at 50.2 percent in June of the current year, remaining stable compared to May, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 1.
In the given month, the production index for China's manufacturing sector was still at 52.9 percent, remaining stable month on month, while the overall new order index for the sector was at 50.1 percent, down 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month. In June, the new export order index for the Chinese manufacturing sector decreased by 0.7 percentage points month on month to 48.2 percent.
The raw material inventory index for China's manufacturing sector was at 48.7 percent in June, up 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month. Also in June, the employment index for China's manufacturing sector stood at 48.1 percent, down by just 0.1 percentage point, while the supplier delivery time index for the sector in question was at 50.3 percent, down 0.6 percentage points, both month on month.
