NBS: China’s crude steel output down 5.2 percent in December

In December last year, China produced 53.33 million mt of pig iron, 64.37 million mt of crude steel and 95.28 million mt of finished steel, indicating respective decreases of 7.1 percent, 5.2 percent and 3.4 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 19.
 
In the whole of 2015, China produced 691.41 million mt of pig iron, 803.83 million mt of crude steel and 1.1235 billion mt of finished steel, down 3.5 percent, declining by 2.3 percent and rising by 0.6 percent year on year, respectively.
