Nautilus International acquires Suderman Contracting Stevedores

Wilmington, California-based Nautilus International Holding Corp., which maintains oversight of various subsidiary companies concentrating in stevedoring, terminal operations, agency, logistics and risk management, completed the acquisition of Suderman Contracting Stevedores, Inc. and Suderman Terminal, Inc. Friday.

The Suderman companies are headquartered in Galveston, Texas, and serve an array of both cargo and cruise sectors, including dry bulk, project cargo and wind energy, with operations in a number of Texas ports. "This is an important day for Nautilus," said James R. Callahan, Chairman, President and CEO of Nautilus. "With the integration of the Suderman companies, Nautilus will enhance its position as a national provider of outstanding services to the maritime industry. The addition of Suderman supports the Nautilus growth platform as well as diversifies and strengthens its geographic base by entry into the Gulf region." The integration of the two companies will begin immediately.
