A binational NAFTA panel announced today it has completed a review of the determination on remand made by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) in the matter of steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Mexico.

The panel affirmed the ITC’s determination, and after no request was filed for an Extraordinary Challenge Committee, the panel review was completed effective March 16, 2017.

Mexican rebar producers are currently subject to antidumping rates of 66.7 percent for Grupo Acero and Grupo Simec, and 20.58 percent for Deacero and all other Mexican rebar producers.
