Australian
iron ore exploration company Murchison Metals Ltd (Murchison) announced on January 27 that its
iron ore output volume in the fourth quarter of 2011 amounted to 371,423 mt, with a slight decrease from 395,279 mt of ore mined in the previous quarter.
Murchisson said that in 2011 a total of 7.28 million mt of direct shipping ore (DSO) products was exported from the port at Geraldton.
