Motor vehicle sales in Australia hit record high in September

According to the latest estimations released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, in September this year new motor vehicle sales in Australia amounted to 95,746 units, increasing by 1.2 percent month on month and up 10.6 percent year on year. The statistics bureau said that new motor vehicle sales in Australia in September this year reached an all-time record monthly high.

Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted estimate for new motor vehicle sales (98,701) increased by 4.7 percent compared to August 2012 and was up 14.4 percent year on year. The seasonally adjusted estimate for passenger car sales in Australia totaled 50,118 units in September, increasing by 6.5 percent as compared to the previous month and up 4.3 percent year on year.
