Moldavian Steel Works produces over 190,000 mt of crude steel in 2013

According to its preliminary data, in 2013 Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 190,086 mt of crude steel and 184,676 mt of finished steel products.

In December last year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works produced 41,725 mt of crude steel and 38,127 mt of rolled steel. The latter volume included 13,514 mt of rebar and 24,614 mt of wire rod.

In January this year, MMZ plans to produce 20,387 mt of rolled steel products.
