MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 1.3 percent

On August 11, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (August 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod and rebar in China increased by 2.5 percent and 2.0 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.8 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 3.3 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal declined by 0.2 percent week on week, while the average prices of anthracite coal and coking coal remained unchanged week on week.
