China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 15 - 21) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 1.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and common round steel in China increased by 1.9 percent, 1.9 percent and 1.3 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.3 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) moved down by 1.0 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal and anthracite coal decreased by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the average price of coking coal increased by 0.3 percent, all week on week.
