MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.8 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.8 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled sheet, common steel plate, cold rolled common steel sheet and hot rolled strip in China rose by 1.9 percent, 1.8 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China moved up by 0.1 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 1.5 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average price of anthracite coal declined by 0.2 percent, the average price of coking coal increased by 0.6 percent, while thermal coal prices remained unchanged, all week on week.
