MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.2 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (October 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of galvanized sheet, high-speed wire rod and common round steel in China rose by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China indicated slight fluctuations. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 1.8 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.6 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal, anthracite coal and coking coal increased by 0.8 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
