MOC: Average finished steel price in China edges down

On September 10, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (September 1-7) the overall average finished steel price in China was down 0.3 percent week on week.

In the given week, the average prices of high-speed wire rod, steel channels and common round bar in China decreased by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.4 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 0.3 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 1.5 percent compared to the previous week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal rose by 3.3 percent, 1.5 percent and 1.2 percent, respectively, week on week.
