MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.1 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 25-31) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, hot rolled strip and rebar in China declined by 0.2 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by one percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal decreased by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the average price of coking coal remained stable week on week.
