MMK to increase long products output 38 percent

Today, at the section rolling department of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), the new stage of testing of the wire rod mill ’170' will begin. As MMK reports, the new ’170' mill's capacity will be 765,000 tons a year. It will mainly produce wire rod in diameter of 6-22 mm and shaped wire rod. MMK estimates 38 percent increase in output of long products to 2 million tons a year thanks to the installation of the new mill.
