Today, at the section rolling department of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (
MMK), the new stage of testing of the
wire rod mill ’170' will begin.
As
MMK reports, the new ’170' mill's capacity will be 765,000 tons a year. It will mainly produce
wire rod in diameter of 6-22 mm and shaped
wire rod.
MMK estimates 38 percent increase in output of long products to 2 million tons a year thanks to the installation of the new mill.
