MMK to increase crude steel capacity

Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) announced plans to increase its crude steel production capacity by 2 million tons to 13 million tons with an investment of around $2 billion. The company reportedly plans to install electric arc furnaces and a continuous slab caster in an effort to increase its crude steel capacity.
