MMK to double crude steel output by 2017

Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) plans to increase crude steel production by 1.6 times compared to 2010 to 18.5 million mt per year by 2017. At the same time, volume of commodity metal output may go up by 1.7 times and total 17.3 million mt. The company also plans to increase production of high value added products and their share in the total volume of output.
