MMK recognized as Russia’s best exporter to CIS in 2009

The Russian steelmaking group Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it has won the Best Exporter of 2009 contest organized by the Russian Federation's Ministry for Industry and Trade with the aim of supporting local exporters.

Accordingly, as in 2008, MMK won the contest as Russia's Best Exporter to the CIS among the country's steelmaking companies.
 
"Supplying products to the CIS countries is one of MMK's sales priorities," reads the company's statement, adding that in 2009 MMK delivered to its CIS customers more than 570,000 mt of steel products.
