MMK produces five millionth mt of rolled steel at its mill 5000

Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it has produced the five millionth metric ton of rolled steel at its rolling mill 5000 which began production six years ago. Key consumers of the produced products are enterprises in the pipe industry. In the given period, 3.86 million of rolled products were shipped to companies such as CHtpZ Group, TMK, OMK and used in projects of companies like Gazprom, Transneft and Lukoil. 
 
In addition, a major consumer of the mill 5000 is the shipbuilding industry. In the given period, over 95,000 mt of rolled products were delivered to this industry. Also, over 164,000 mt were delivered to bridge builders, over 355,000 mt were delivered to the railway machinery sector, over 11,000 mt were supplied to the automotive industry, while other industries received over 395,000 mt of rolled steel from MMK in the given period.
