Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has stated that in 2013 it increased its presence by 15 percent year on year in the pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) segment of the Russian domestic market, while its share in the domestic zinc-plated steel product market rose to 26 percent in the given year.

88 percent of MMK's plated steel products are sent to the domestic market, with 12 percent delivered to other CIS countries. In 2014, MMK plans to increase supplies to the domestic market with an expansion of its production volume.
