Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (
MMK) has announced that it completed modernization of its turbo blowing machine No.8 in the previous month and plans to repair blast furnace No. 9 to increase pig iron output and reduce cash costs at the end of this year.
According to
MMK's statement, the modernization of its steam power plant, including replacement of a steam turbine and all auxiliary equipment as well as repair of a compressor, had been completed in May this year.
