Global steel giant Mittal Steel aims to invest $450 million this year in an effort to increase the production capacities of its plants in Poland. The investment plan will provide the company to meet the constantly rising demand from automobile producers. Many West European automobile companies have set up their plants in Poland due to the easy availability of cheap technical labor. The company is also planning to establish a new plant in Krakow, besides modernizing the existing plants in Sosnowiec, Dabrowa Gornicz and Swietochowice.
