Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih ups net profit

According to the preliminary data released by Ukrainian steelmaker Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih, the mill's net profit rose 23.2 percent year on year to UAH 9.1 billion (approx. $1.8 billion) in January-August of 2006. The net profit in August rose 41.7 percent month on month to UAH 1.3 billion (approx. $260 million). The company also reported that other financial figures are higher than those of last year.
