Mitsubishi to supply two electric welding tube mills for Vyksa Steel Works

Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced that its subsidiary Vyksa Steel Works has signed contracts with Japan-based Mitsubishi Corporation (Mitsubishi) for the supply of two new electric welding tube mills.
 
One of the mills, designed to produce pipes in diameters ranging from 60 mm to 178 mm, will be constructed in 2018, while the second mill which will produce pipes in diameters ranging from 114 mm to 245 mm will be installed during the 2019-20 period. 
 
OMK president Vladimir Markin stated that the new mills will guarantee the successful modernization of Vyksa Steel’s production capacity and will enable the company to fully meet the needs of the oil and gas industry in all kinds of pipes.
