Mexico’s Minera Autlan invested $3.2 million at its Tamos ferroalloy plant, in the state of Veracruz, to change the dust collectors it used to have at its 12 and 13 furnaces for better equipment, according to media reports.

The new equipment will reportedly have higher energy efficiency and surpass the Mexican requirements for emissions.

Media reports said Autlan took six months to implement the new equipment, which use steel material from local producers.
