MIIT: China’s value-added industrial output likely to increase by 6 percent in 2016

According to a new report issued by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT), China’s value-added industrial output will likely increase by six percent while energy consumption will likely decrease by four percent in the year of 2016.
 
As also indicated by MIIT, it is expected that China will eliminate 13 million mt of outdated ironmaking capacity and 17 million mt of outdated steelmaking capacity for the whole of 2015.
