Mexico’s steel service center Grupo Collado reports Q2 net loss

Mexican steel service center Grupo Collado saw its net loss in Q2 sink to MXN 13.4 million from MXN 1.2 million a year ago.

In a filing to the nation’s stock exchange, Bolsa Mexicana de Valores (BMV), Grupo Collado said the company’s operating profit in Q2 reached MXN 26.5 million, 13.1 percent down, year-on-year.

The company’s EBITDA in the April-June period fell 13.6 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 44.4 million, while sales totaled MXN 397.5 million in Q2, 9 percent up, year-on-year.
