Mexico’s industrial output down in January

Mexican industrial production in January declined 0.3 percent, year-on-year, the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi, said on Tuesday.
 
According to government data, industrial output at the mining segment in January fell nearly 10 percent, year-on-year, but rose 1.1 percent, month-on-month.
 
As for the civil construction sector, industrial production in January declined 1 percent, year-on-year, but was stable in the month-on-month analysis, with zero growth.
 
On the other hand, industrial output at the country’s manufacturing industries rose 3.8 percent in January, year-on-year, and increased 0.5 percent, month-on-month.
