Mexico’s industrial activity up in February

Mexican industrial activity rose 1.6 percent year-on-year in February, and 0.2 percent month-on-month, according to data released by the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.

Industrial activity at the mining segment decreased 3.9 percent in February, year-on-year, but rose 0.2 month-on-month.

The activity of the civil construction and manufacturing industries increased by 1.4 and 3.9 percent in February, year-on-year, respectively. For the civil construction segment, activity decreased 2.2 percent month-on-month. By the other hand, industrial activity at the manufacturing segment rose 1 percent month-on-month.
