Mexico’s car output, domestic sales increase in November

Mexican auto production in November rose 4 percent, year-on-year, to 296,338 units, according to the latest data released by the nation’s automotive industry, AMIA.

Domestic sales of autos increased as well, reaching 126,211 units in November, 13 percent up in the year-on-year analysis, while exports declined 5.9 percent in the same period to 223,797 units, according to the trade group.

As for the cumulative period of January to November, Mexican car output totalled 3.1 million units, 5.5 percent up, year-on-year. Exports and domestic sales improved 4.3 percent and 18.8 percent year-on-year, respectively, to 2.5 million and 1.1 million units.
