Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, announced on Friday the update of two steel norms for wire rod as well as for carbon and H-type alloy steels.
According to the Mexican government, the NMX-B-503-CANACERO-2017 norm will replace the NMX-B-503-CANACERO-2011 regulation.
The NMX-B-503-CANACERO-2017 establishes the requisites for carbon wire rod for general use produced by cold drawing; final use could for be smooth, polished, annealed or galvanized wire rod, among others.
Likewise, the NMX-B-268-CANACERO-2017 norm replaces the NMX-B-268-CANACERO-2011 norm. The NMX-B-268-CANACERO-2017 norm sets the chemical composition as well as the hardenability bands for carbon and H-type alloy steels.
