Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has applied provisional anti-dumping (AD) duties on pre-stressed wire from China, Spain and Portugal.

According to a SE resolution published last week at the nation’s official gazette, DOF, imports of pre-stressed wire from China will pay a 147.04 percent tariff, while purchases of the same product coming from Spain and Portugal will pay a 14.49 and a 45.13 percent tax.

Imports from producer Global Special will pay a 14.49 percent duty, while imports from all the other Spanish exporters will pay a 45.13 percent tax.

SE also said it will continue the dumping investigations in order to determine if there were unfair trade practices.

The products subject to antidumping duties currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7217.10.99, 7312.10.01, 7312.10.05, 7312.10.07, 7312.10.08, 7312.10.10 and 7312.10.99.
