Mexican economic activity improves in August

Mexican economic activity in August improved 2.8 percent, year-on-year, and 0.5 percent, month-on-month, according to data from the nation’s statistics agency, Inegi.

In August, all activities saw some improvement in their activities, which helps explain the growth in both year-on-year and month-on-month analysis.

According to Inegi, primary, secondary and tertiary activities increased by 6.6, 0.2 and 0.4 percent, month-on-month, respectively. In the year-on-year comparison, the economic activity of these sectors grew by 7.7, 1 and 3.4 percent, respectively.
