Mexican car output up 12.8 percent in Oct over Sept

In October this year, Mexican car output totaled 41,998 units, increasing 12.8 percent compared to September this year, but down 6.2 percent compared to the same month last year, according to the Mexican Association of the Automobile Industry (AMIA). In the January-October period, Mexico's car output rose 15.1 percent year on year to 366,989 vehicles.

Meanwhile, in October this year car sales in the Mexican car industry rose 2.4 percent compared to the September level and 2.2 percent compared to the figure for October last year, amounting to 75,747 units, according to AMIA.

Furthermore, in the January-October period this year, Mexican car sales amounted to 707,083 units, increasing 10.5 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
