Mexican industrial output stable in June

Mexican industrial output remained mostly stable in June, both on a month-on-month and on a year-on-year basis, according to data released on Friday by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi.

According to Inegi, local industrial production in June had zero growth when compared to the same month in the prior year. In June, industrial production in the mining segment fell 7.6 percent, year-on-year, while industrial output at the civil construction and manufacturing industries in the same period registered 0 growth and a 2.7 percent increase, year-on-year, respectively.

Mexican industrial output was stable in June when compared to May, with a marginal growth of 0.1 percent. The local mining segment reported zero growth in June, month-on-month, in terms of industrial output. Industrial production at the local civil construction sector in June rose 0.3 percent, month-on-month. Output at the local manufacturing industry in June declined 0.2 percent, also on a month-on-month basis.
