Mexican industrial output declines in April

Mexican industrial production in April fell 0.3 percent on both the month-on-month and year-on-year analysis, according to data released by the country’s statistics agency, Inegi, on Friday.
 
According to Inegi, industrial output at the local mining and civil construction sectors in April dropped 9.5 and 2.6 percent, respectively, year-on-year, while production at the country’s manufacturing segment in the same period rose 5.1 percent, year-on-year.
 
Following the same downtrend, industrial production in April at the local mining and civil construction industries declined 0.9 and 1.7 percent, year-on-year, respectively.
 
On the other hand, the local manufacturing industry saw production rise 0.6 percent in April, year-on-year.
