Metso to supply iron ore equipment to Essar Steel

Finland-based global engineering and technology company Metso Corporation has announced that it subsidiary Metso Minerals (Metso) has received an order from Global Supplies Ltd, a member of the Indian steelmaker Essar Group, to supply an iron ore induration machine.

Metso will deliver the machine to Essar's Paradeep Pellet Plant in Paradeep. The delivery is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2010 and the value of the order is estimated at approximately €17 million.

The order includes a 744 square meter induration machine with 270 pellet cars with a feed rate of 700 mt per hour of iron ore pellets. In addition, Metso will be responsible for supplying auxiliary equipment, as well as for the start-up, commissioning and training services.
