Ukrainian mining and steel producing group Metinvest Group has announced that its subsidiary Avdiivka Coke Plant in Donetsk has reached full capacity after starting operations at its coke battery No. 8.

Avdiivka Coke Plant’s coke battery No. 8 was damaged because of artillery attacks in the region and accordingly mothballed in August 2014.

Metinvest stated that the coke battery No. 8 will allow the plant to increase coke production to 8,500 mt per day.
