Metalloinvest’s iron ore output up 0.2 percent in Q3

Metalloinvest, a leading global iron ore and hot briquetted iron (HBI) producer based in Russia, has announced its operational results for the third quarter of the current year.
 
Accordingly, in the third quarter, Metalloinvest's iron ore production increased by 0.2 percent year on year to 9.86 million mt. Its iron ore shipments rose by 1.6 percent year on year in the same period to 2.79 million mt.
 
The company’s pellet production and shipment volumes in the given quarter amounted to 5.93 million mt and 3.59 million mt, up 0.5 percent and 3.9 percent respectively, both compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
 
In the third quarter this year, Metalloinvest's crude steel production increased by 5.2 percent to 3.36 million mt, while its pig iron output expanded by 6.8 percent to 630,000 mt, both year on year.
